Tip 1: Hang It and Be Happy

Take good care of your stuff! Putting your shirt on a hanger or folding your jeans may sound pointless at seven in the morning when you are rushing to catch the bus, but you’ll regret it later if you don’t! Things will continue building up until all you have is an empty closet and a huge pile of clothes on the floor.

    Tip 2: Play Store

Keep your clothes organized first by category (shirts, pants, long sleeves, short sleeve, etc.), then by colors. Have fun with it and organize your closet like stores do, putting clothes together by colors or by light to dark. It will help you find things quickly and your closet will look great too!

    Tip 3: Snowpants in Summer?

Keep same-season clothes grouped together in your closet, or better yet, take clothes that are out of season and keep them in a storage bin.

Tip 4: Think Ahead or Pay for It Later

Washing and cleaning your clothes and shoes is important to have a great wardrobe. Read the labels before you buy anything, just to make sure you have the time and patience (hand washing takes time; dry cleaning takes money) to maintain the items you choose.

Tip 5: Create Your Own Showcase

Hang a bulletin board in your closet or on your wall and stick all your earrings in it so that you can see with one glance all the choices you have. Better yet, show your creativity by first covering the bulletin board with fun fabric, ribbons, and other decorations before you start sticking stuff on it.

    Tip 6: Keep It Healthy

Using old cosmetics and dirty makeup or brushes can lead to breakouts or even infections. So, label your makeup and bathroom products with the date you opened them using a permanent marker. Keep your makeup and bathroom products in a plastic bag and store in a cool place. If anything starts to smell bad, gets a weird texture, or separates into layers, throw it away!

    Faithgirlz Tip #1

My wardrobe is made up of three folding compartments and a hanging compartment. There's not much space, so I label each compartment and then sort by color. Its much easier to pick out my clothes without making my bedroom floor a hot mess.

    Faithgirlz Tip #2

organize your clothes in your closet or drawers to make it look more neat.

    Faithgirlz Tip #3

For school, get clothes ready the night before as well as dry lunch and snacks. This wil knock 20 mins off the morning.
    – Sara, age 11

    Faithgirlz Tip #4

My closet ALWAYS gets messy, two weeks after I clean it. It's so annoying! I have a wardrobe (with shelves only), so I have to fold each and every piece of clothing. Takes forever, but I do it. I already tried tip two (Play Store), but when I reach for a color at the back of the shelf, my hand bumps over one of the folded piles, making it topple, and mix up all of the colors. So instead, I make labels that say the type of clothing (Example: Cardigans, sweaters , jeans, etc...) and tape them down. That way, if my hand ever bumps into one of the piles, I can easily sort it out.
    – Jasmine, age 11

    Faithgirlz Tip #5

I just finished cleaning my room and the key is getting rid of lots of your stuff. You may like most of your stuff, but sometimes it's just junk! Also, you should keep your desk and dresser organized and you should be able to find everything easily without making a mess.
    – Sola, age almost 11

    Faithgirlz Tip #6

If you have the hobby of making jewelry, sort out your beads. Get little plastic bags, grab a bead, and put into a bag. Put beads with the same color together.
    – Monica, age 12(almost13)

    Faithgirlz Tip #7

If you have to share your room, ask your mom if you could take turns cleaning with your sibling. This will help you not to fight as much. Also, if you get the first turn, put your sibling's stuff that is on the floor, in a corner. That way, your sibling's stuff won't get in the way!
    – Sarah, age 9

    Faithgirlz Tip #8
