Fiona

Fiona is Sophie's best friend. When they meet on the playground during Fiona's first day at Great Marsh Elementary, Sophie knows she has found a kindred spirit at last. Fiona is very smart and she refuses to hide her intelligence; she makes straight As, has read "every book in life," fiction and non-, and has a very impressive vocabulary for an eleven-year-old (or for a sixteen-year-old for that matter!). Her parents are very busy so becoming friends with Sophie evaporates her loneliness.

Fiona has olive skin and dark hair and has mysterious gray eyes. She wears her hair short, though it's long enough in the front to drape across one eye in a dramatic way.
